So many central coast wines, so little time.

About Paso

The Paso Robles Wine Country is one of the fastest growing premium vineyard and winery regions in California.

More than 30 Central Coast winemakers will compete Saturday not for the title of best wine, but for the honor of best cooking skills. The ninth annual winemakers cook-off will be held at the River Oaks Hot Springs & Spa in Paso Robles from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the proceeds benefiting the Paso Robles Rotary Club.

Winemakers from wineries such as Eberle, Firestone, Robert Hall, Justin, Stacked Stone, Midnight Cellars and others will get to showcase their cooking skills and pair them with their favorite wines. Attendees can sample all of the dishes and vote for the people’s choice award. A celebrity panel of chefs and writers will determine the coveted judges’ award.

Tickets are $75 per person and include all food and wine. To purchase tickets, or for more information, call 226-5674, or visit
www.winemakerscookoff.com.
Tickets will be available at the door, and discounted tickets for designated drivers are available for $40 each. — Janis Switzer
